This movie really shows that you can never give up hope. Rick’s doctors believed that he was a vegetable, and that his parents should put him into an institution. It amazes me that Rick’s parents stood by him and refused to put send him away. They could tell that he was thinking something by the look in his eyes. Rick and Dick truly formed an amazing bond that can never be broken. They have gone through so much together, and Dick would do anything for Rick.
